I’ve been testing this Calcium Bonding Facial Cream for over two weeks, applying it either in the evening on top of retinal or sometimes in the morning as my last skincare step before sunscreen. It is a high-quality formula with 64 ingredients, including 28 hydrating ingredients. My dry, dehydrated, mature skin favors the peptides, ceramides, Vitamin E, and hyaluronic acids this formula contains. I love that it comes in a 3.52 oz. travel-friendly tube with a secure snap lid because, as you may have experienced, airplane travel is dehydrating. I live in a dry climate, so I prefer a gel-cream like this, which is fast-absorbing, melts into my skin, and dries down to a matte finish, to layer over the several toners and serums I use first in my morning and evening routines. I think oily or combination skin people would really enjoy how this cream dries down as well. This slightly fragranced (the scent fades after a few minutes) violet-pink cream plays well with my other products by locking them in place, and it layers well under sunscreen and makeup. I also think it makes my makeup look less powdery, fresher, and last longer because I’m so dry. It leaves my skin feeling super hydrated, bouncy, and protected without feeling sticky or greasy. I estimate this large tube will last several months and think this hydrating gel-cream formula is well-priced.

I like this cream! It is full of ceramides and feels extremely moisturizing on. It's does end up feeling a little bit sticky on after a while, so I think this would be best for a nighttime routine before bed. It is a pretty light purple color and isn't too heavy on. It smells nice and "clean" (which I find common for K Beauty products), but the scent is on the line of being overpowering for me. All in all, I will use this up as a night moisturizer, but I am sure if it is perfect for my skin needs and what I like in a moisturizer.

I feel like my facial skin feels and looks better when using this cream. This is the only change or addition to my skincare routine. Unlike the body lotion, I have noticed a quick improvement from less than a week of usage. My face does look more youthful and rested. I can’t say that it has done anything for wrinkles yet. But in combination with other Dr. Melaxin products, it has totally improved my skin condition. The first day, I did get a lil pimple but by the evening it was gone. The next day my tzone or oil production zones had reduced quite a bit. I don’t know why I was getting more oily skin the week prior. However, using this product nipped it and future pimples in the bud leaving me more refreshed in the face each time I’m using it. Even with my serums underneath as I normally do, I made sure to follow the instructions and put it on last. Excellent product and experience so far. Additionally, no odor and no breakouts experienced so far. I put it on immediately after my shower and serums. Overall, I am happy with my order and would order again.

I ordered this moisturizer because I love trying new skincare, I'm always up for something that says "firming" and "anti-aging," and because it sounded like it would be different from most things I've tried. I have read a lot about calcium as an ingredient in skincare; it is said to help with skin barrier and skin density. My (admittedly large) skincare collection is pretty lacking in calcium ingredients, so I was excited to try this.This cream has a texture that feels unique and performs in a pretty novel way. It has a sort of soft, dense, milky feel that spreads evenly and leaves a slight smoothing "cushion." It does absorb, but not immediately; on my normal-to-dry skin it takes a few minutes. This does have a bit of a smoothing and firming effect, but it is not at all like some of the "firming" products out there that dry down to a powdery look and feel, nor is it a high-gloss, glass-skin finish. Instead, it has a semi-matte look and feel, a bit of a blurring effect, and no glazed shininess.This does take a bit of time and patience. I do not have any issues with pilling, so long as I let it absorb and dry for a few minutes and make sure anything I apply over it is more dense/less liquid. If I try to go in with makeup immediately after applying this, I have a bit of pilling around the corners of my nose, but letting it "set" fixes that. I use a tiny fan to help when I'm in a hurry.The only reason I rated four stars instead of five is the fragrance. It is that floral fragrance that seems pretty common in Korean skincare products, and to me, it's a bit strong for something I wear on my face all day, unnecessary to the performance of the product, and doesn't fade quickly at all. I still like what this does enough that I will regularly use it, but it would be better without any fragrance added.Like any other topical product, this isn't going to magically erase advanced signs of aging. However, for me, it does work well to smooth the beginnings of texture/elasticity loss, and does a good job moisturizing without looking or feeling greasy or shiny.
