EQQUALBERRY - Bakuchiol Plumping Capsule Toner 150mL

I have mature, sensitive skin and am starting to see a few fine lines, so I am extra careful about my skincare routine, I have been using this toner about a month and am loving it so far.All of my previous toners have been liquids and I have often found toners to be drying to my skin. However, this toner is a thick gel consistency and I have found that it helps my skin to retain moisture. Usually, I struggle with dry skin in the winter, but the addition of this toner to my skin care routine seems to have helped a lot.I am using this toner as the second step in my nighttime skin care routine, after removing my makeup and cleansing. I usually put in on a cotton round to apply, but I have applied it straight from my hand when I didn't have cotton available. It does not leave any sticky residue on my skin. I follow up with my usual moisturizer and have had good results.This toner but have a light lavender scent, but it is pleasant and not at all overwhelming. It does have a fresh sensation- but tingly, just a refreshed feeling. This is also a large bottle of toner and I don't need to use much each day. This bottle will likely last 5 or 6 months for me, so it is an excellent value.

This toner is easy to use and feels light on the skin. After using it for a few days, my skin felt smoother, softer, and looked slightly more radiant. It absorbs quickly without any sticky residue and is gentle enough for sensitive skin. A nice addition to a daily skincare routine for hydration and a subtle plumping effect.

This toner felt very nice on my skin. It feels more like it is hydrating and not stripping. The texture is somewhere between a water gel and a serum. It did not feel sticky at all on my skin. It spread very easily and I like that the bottle only has a very small opening that you squeeze out of so you don’t waste product. It only had the very whitest fragrance that did not linger which I prefer. It did not irritate my sensitive skin.

This toner has a thicker, gel-like consistency rather than the liquidy texture you'd expect from a toner. It has little beads in it that dissolve as you rub it in. I squirt a bit into my hand and rub it all over my face as part of my prep routine. A little goes a long way with this.I love how hydrating it is. It really makes my skin feel plump, especially as we get into these drier winter months. It has a pleasant but very light smell that isn't overpowering. I've noticed that I don't have as much dry skin as I usually do in the winter since using this.When I wear this under makeup, it helps my skin look more youthful and preps it really well. I use a gel moisturizer on top of this and it doesn't feel sticky at all. I have an oily t-zone and I've noticed when I wear this, it doesn't make me look extra oily or like I've been sweating. It just adds hydration where my skin needs it without overdoing it.

Not the consistency I expected for a toner. This is a bit more gel-like but still applies easily and absorbs quickly. The capsules are not rough at all (no physical exfoliation). Does seem to clean face well. I applied using a cotton round after already washing my face and it still removed dirt/oil/dead skin.

I've been very eager to try a product containing Bakuchiol. I don't like referring to this as a "toner" - the texture just doesn't align with that. Instead, for my routine, I'd consider this a "serum" as it's thicker and stickier. Because of that consistency, it's been relegated to my nighttime skincare routine (it is incompatible with my morning routine because I've found that it interferes with my makeup application), and I do not plan to use it daily as it doesn't play nice with some of my other products either. For me, I think the sweet spot may be once a week after a thorough face wash with gentle manual exfoliation, a layer of actual toner (I like witch hazel), followed by this alone, with nothing over top (and use a light hand). The scent is light, inoffensive, and doesn't linger too long after application.

I recently tried the Eqqualberry Swimming Pool toner and LOVED it so I was very excited to try another product from this brand. Unfortunately I did not love this one. I used it twice and both times it just felt too heavy on my face, too thick and it stayed sticky for so long that I would end up rinsing it off of my face after about an hour. After the 2nd use I woke up the next day with a huge zit on the side of my nose. I don't know if this product was responsible for that, correlation does not equal causation, but I don't typically get huge whitehead zits like that. I prefer very lightweight facial products. It has a lovely lavender fragrance, I enjoyed that. I can't say for certain whether it's a good product or not, whether it lives up to its claims or not, I just did not like the feeling of it on my face at all.
