Absorbs quickly and goes on smoothly

This is a nice mister to have nearby for when you need a bit of a pick me up. It has a quick cooling sensation and feels really nice on my skin. It's a very thin jelly that absorbs into the skin really well. You can spray it over your face and just smoothe it all over. It works well over lotions and creams. I haven't tried it over makeup because this still has a very light jelly consistency and I feel it may not work as well. But overall, I like how it feels though it's not quite providing extra moisture.

Refreshing Cooling Mist That Hydrates, Calms, and Instantly Revives the Skin

I’m 52, post-menopausal, with dry and increasingly sensitive skin, and facial mists are something I use throughout the day to refresh and rehydrate my skin. I’ve tried quite a few Korean skincare mists over the years, and this Dr. Melaxin Cactox Pore Relief Jelly Serum Mist turned out to be a really nice one.The first thing I noticed is how fine and even the mist spray is. It distributes a light, refreshing layer across the skin without leaving large droplets or making the face overly wet. The formula feels lightweight but still hydrating, almost like a diluted serum rather than just water. As soon as it hits the skin, there’s a cooling, soothing sensation that makes the face feel instantly refreshed. It’s especially nice in the morning when skin can feel a little puffy or tired, and it’s also great during the day when your skin needs a quick hydration boost. The cactus-focused formula seems designed to support hydration and calming, and my skin definitely feels more comfortable after using it. It gives a soft, dewy finish that makes the complexion look fresher and more awake without making the skin greasy or sticky.I also like how versatile this type of product is. It works well as a light hydrating step after cleansing, a quick refresh over makeup, or just something to revive the skin during the day. Because the texture is so lightweight, it layers easily with other skincare products. While I wouldn’t expect a mist to dramatically change pore size on its own, it does help the skin look smoother, more hydrated, and less dull, which naturally improves the overall appearance of the complexion.Overall, this is a refreshing, well-formulated facial mist that hydrates, cools, and gives the skin a quick boost of comfort throughout the day. If you enjoy Korean skincare mists and want something light, soothing, and easy to use, this is a very nice option.

Tons of Great Ingredients, sadly allergic to one

When looking at this Cactox Pore Relief Jelly Serum Mist by Dr Melaxin, I saw that it featured the ingredients caffeine and adenosine, which I already like. I also was really interested in trying out the Cactus Extract and Biodtox that this has in it, as I haven’t used a product containing these before. I’ve also never used (or heard of) a jelly mist, though I’ve used both jellies and mists, so I was pretty curious about this too.The listing for this Cactox Jelly Serum Mist didn’t include a full ingredient list, or show one in the pictures, which is a shame as it has many more ingredients that I find to be great for my skin and really make me think that this is overall a great product, so I’ve included a full ingredient list at the end of my review. (I’m a huge fan of the Niacinamide as the fifth ingredient, the Squalane, two types of Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramide NP, and all the Peptides!) Honestly this serum is packed full of ingredients that I love and featuring them would do this listing so much good!Unfortunately, also not having an ingredient list meant that I couldn’t see that this Cactox Jelly Serum Mist also contains an ingredient that I’m more allergic to if ingested and will have a skin reaction to if used topically. (Nevertheless, I was very interested in how a Jelly Mist worked and had to try it out with oral and topical antihistamine on hand, for science!)So, as for being a Jelly Mist, looking at the bottle, it clearly looks like a jelly inside of it. However, when you push down on the nozzle, it mists out exactly like a spray on product! After applying a few spritzes concentrated directly to the top of my hand, it definitely looked thinner than some jelly products I’ve used, however it wasn’t runny like a typical spray on product would be with repeat applications to the same spot, and to the touch definitely feels like a jelly! It does have a light and pleasant scent to it, and absorbs both quickly and well into my skin.Without my allergen this would be a killer product, and I’m honestly incredibly sad I can’t use it because it’s packed with so many ingredients I love!Ingredients:Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Propanediol, Methylpropanediol, Niacinamide, Erythritol, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycereth-25 PCA Isostearate, Glycereth-26, Sodium Chloride, Hydroxyacetophenone, Gellan Gum, Fragrance, Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, Glycerin, Coptis Japonica Root Extract, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Lactobacillus Ferment, Methyl Diisopropyl Propionamide, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Cymbopogon Citratus Extract, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Mentha Arvensis Extract, Dextrin, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Zea Mays (Corn) Kernel Extract, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Punica Granatum Extract, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Opuntia Ficus-Indica Flower Extract, Opuntia Ficus-Indica Fruit Extract, Opuntia Ficus-Indica Stem Extract, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Fructan, Glucose, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Caffeine, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Squalane, Tocopherol, Panthenol, Bioflavonoids, Polyglutamic Acid, Ceramide NP, Cholesterol, Phytosteryl/Behenyl/Octyldodecyl Lauroyl Glutamate, Aluminum/Magnesium Hydroxide Stearate, Brassica Oleracea Italica (Broccoli) Extract, Apium Graveolens (Celery) Extract, Lysolecithin, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Phosphatidylcholine, Polysorbate 80, Stearic Acid, Retinol, Brassica Campestris (Rapeseed) Sterols, Malachite Extract, Copper Tripeptide-1, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Dimethylsilanol Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Chitosan, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate Dimethylsilanol, Tris(Tetramethylhydroxypiperidinol) Citrate, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate, Hexapeptide-9, Nonapeptide-1, Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, Pentapeptide-3, Tripeptide-1

jelly-like texture comes out as a fine, even mist and feels cooling/soothing; dries a bit tacky

I'm kind of crazy for anything cactus in skincare, and the idea of a jelly mist was interesting, so I had to try this. This really does have a jelly-like texture/consistency in the bottle. Despite its thicker consistency, the pump works well and it mists evenly and finely, not leaving large wet droplets on skin. This mist has a slight cooling effect which feels great midday when I'm out working under the sun, and it's like I can feel my skin taking in the extra hydration. It leaves my skin looking slightly glowy without looking wet or glazed. It has a scent I'd describe as a sweet-green scent, and it isn't overpowering. The only downside is that it does dry to a bit of a sticky-tacky texture, which to me is more noticeable if I use it after cleansing on clean skin than it is when I use it mid-day over SPF and makeup. This feels extra-cooling when kept slightly chilled; I love to keep it in my insulated bag next to an ice pack and will reach for it a ton as the days get hotter.

Love the brand, but hate the smell of the Cactox line.

I have three other Dr. Melaxin products that I absolutely love, none of which have a noticeable scent. This, however, has an overpowering scent--a smell too strong to put anywhere on my body, especially my face. I did try it, but had to wash it off shortly after. Still, it was difficult to remove the odor.Sadly, I can't attest to how well the product works because I can't tolerate the scent. My other Dr. Melaxin products do what they say, so I suspect this does, but I can't confirm it. Others may find the smell refreshing, but it is strong. At first, it smelled a little like artificial cucumber, only stronger. The Instant Cooling Face Mist did feel very nice on my face, and I could feel a tightness shortly after spraying it. I couldn't keep it on long enough to determine long term effects.

I wish the mist was finer, but otherwise all good marks from me!

This jelly serum mist is actually exactly what I hoped it would be like! This tiny container packs some big results when it comes to hydration and relief from warmer weather. It was literally 85 degrees yesterday here in the south and I am not a fan of how quickly wintertime has ended. Warmer weather means drier skin for me, and I've been hoping to be able to order something that can help keep my face hydrated on the go. This mist is nearly pocket sized, and fits comfortably in my sling-style bag. I have been bringing it with me on my walks and refreshing as often as necessary. The serum doesn't make me feel sticky, and it smells like flowers! The only bummer for me is that the "mist" is kind of splattery - meaning it's not a fine mist/type of a spray. I do like this Dr. Melaxin line and how suitable it is for my combo/oily skin type. I would recommend this product as it is much more affordable compared to some of the other "facial misting serums" I've seen offered on Amazon.

Pore Care Without Dryness

A lot of pore-focused products dry out my skin, but this mist manages to make my pores look tighter while still keeping my skin hydrated and soft. My complexion looks clearer and more balanced overall after consistent use. It’s refreshing, lightweight, and genuinely enjoyable to apply throughout the day.

Fresh, Smooth & Hydrated Skin

This product leaves my skin looking fresh and healthy every time I use it. The mist feels cooling and calming while also giving enough hydration to make my skin look plump and smooth. I especially love using it after sun exposure because it instantly refreshes my face. It never feels sticky or heavy even in warm weather.

Improved Texture Around My T-Zone

I mainly purchased this for enlarged pores around my nose and forehead, and after several weeks my skin definitely looks more refined. The cooling effect is very refreshing and the hydration level is excellent for such a lightweight mist. My skin feels smoother, softer, and more comfortable throughout the day now. It’s become part of my everyday skincare routine.

Luxury Mist with Real Hydration

This doesn’t feel like a basic water mist at all — it genuinely feels like skincare. My skin stays hydrated much longer after using it, and the jelly-serum texture leaves such a soft smooth finish. I also noticed that my makeup lasts better because my skin stays balanced and hydrated underneath. The packaging and cooling sensation make it feel very premium.

Helped Calm & Refresh My Skin

This mist feels so soothing on tired or overheated skin. I use it during the day whenever my skin feels dry or irritated, and it instantly refreshes everything without heaviness. After regular use, my complexion started looking smoother and my pores became less noticeable around the T-zone. It’s lightweight enough for humid weather and absorbs beautifully.

Beautiful Glow with Lightweight Feel

I’m extremely picky with facial mists because many of them leave residue or make my skin oily, but this formula feels incredibly lightweight and comfortable. It gives my skin a fresh healthy glow while keeping it hydrated and calm. I especially enjoy using it before makeup because it makes my skin look smoother and more balanced overall. Definitely feels much more luxurious than typical mists.

Skin Looks Smoother & Less Puffy

One of the biggest improvements I noticed was reduced puffiness around my cheeks and nose area. My face looks fresher and more awake after using this mist in the morning. The hydration lasts surprisingly long for a spray product, and my skin texture feels smoother throughout the day. It also gives a very healthy glow without looking greasy or shiny.

Perfect Cooling Mist for Hot Weather

Living in hot weather makes refreshing skincare products essential for me, and this mist has become one of my favorites. The cooling sensation feels incredibly soothing after being outdoors, and it leaves my skin looking fresh instead of oily. I also noticed that my pores look tighter and my skin texture appears smoother after consistent use. It layers beautifully over makeup as well without disturbing anything underneath.

Calista
Refreshing Hydration Without Oiliness

Most facial mists either feel sticky or disappear immediately, but this one actually leaves my skin feeling hydrated and fresh for hours. I love using it throughout the day because it instantly cools my skin and reduces that tight dehydrated feeling. My complexion also looks smoother and healthier overall since I started using it. The formula feels lightweight but still nourishing enough to keep my skin comfortable even during colder weather.

My Pores Look Much More Refined

I originally bought this mist because I wanted something refreshing for my pores and oily areas, but it ended up doing much more than I expected. After a few weeks of regular use, my skin started looking smoother and more refined overall. The cooling effect feels amazing, especially in the mornings when my face looks puffy or tired. I also noticed my pores around the nose area appearing less visible and my skin staying hydrated without becoming greasy. The jelly texture transforms into such a fine refreshing mist that feels luxurious every time I use it.

Cool and Refreshing

Me-Dry, sensitive skin, mid 40's. I love face mists! This one is different? Fun! It doesn't SEEM like it'll mist, from looking at the jelly serum, but it does. It is fragranced, which I can be sensitive to, but this didn't cause any headaches (yet) and the scent is green/natural leaning. Still, I think it can be a bit much for some, and I'd prefer it without. It's cooling and soothing for sure, and a nice addition to my summer routine-this will def com in handy post-outdoor activities. It plays well w/ my skincare products, and caused no irritation. I noticed no depuffing, but that may be me, idk. I know I'll be reaching for it more often as it warms up, and will update my review w/ any positive or negative changes.

Cooling Jelly Serum Mist: Hydrating, Even Spray & Refreshing for Daily Use

From the very first spritz, this jelly serum mist feels like a little reset button for the skin, especially in warm Florida weather where everything can start to feel heavy and overheated fast. It has that instant cooling effect that almost wakes your face up, and I found myself reaching for it most in the morning or mid-day when my skin felt a bit puffy, dry, or just dull. If you pop it in the fridge, that refreshing sensation gets even better and turns it into a genuinely soothing moment rather than just another step. What surprised me most is how this doesn’t feel like a typical watery face mist. Even though it sprays out evenly, there’s a slightly more “substantial” feel to it, almost like a lightweight serum in mist form. I’ve been using it consistently for about five weeks now, and on my skin it leaves everything feeling soft, hydrated, and more comfortable without turning greasy or heavy. With my skin leaning dehydrated, especially around the under-eye area, I notice that it gives that quick boost of moisture that makes my face look a little more awake and less tight.Even though the formula looks thicker in the bottle, the sprayer does a surprisingly good job turning it into a light, even mist rather than heavy droplets. It distributes nicely across the face without soaking the skin, though I could see how occasionally it might not feel perfectly ultra-fine every single time.I’ve been using it in a few different ways, and it layers nicely no matter where it lands in my routine. It works well right after cleansing, before moisturizer, and even over makeup when I want a refresh without disturbing anything. It doesn’t break down my base or make things patchy, which makes it especially useful for quick touch-ups during the day when I’m out running errands or in the sun.As far as the claims go, I’d keep expectations realistic. The cooling effect can definitely make your skin feel less puffy and a bit tighter in the moment, which can give that smoother, slightly refined look, but it’s not a dramatic pore-shrinking treatment. It’s more of a “your skin looks fresher and more hydrated” kind of improvement rather than a long-term transformation. The biggest thing to be aware of is the scent. This is one of those products where people either enjoy it or find it a bit much. It leans fresh and botanical, but it is noticeable. Since my skin can be sensitive depending on the formula, especially around the eye area, I’m always cautious with fragrance, and I’d say this isn’t the safest blind buy if you know your skin reacts easily. That said, I didn’t personally experience irritation, but it’s something worth noting if your skin is reactive.Overall, this feels like a really nice hybrid between skincare and a refreshing mist. It delivers hydration, a cooling pick-me-up, and a soft, slightly glowy finish without feeling heavy. I see it more as a comfort and maintenance product than a treatment, but for everyday use, especially in a hot climate, it’s one of those easy, reach-for-it products that fits into your routine without overthinking it.

Really good stuff.

I'm fairly new to the serum/face mist world, but it's definitely a fun world to explore.Cactus? Sure, why not! This absolutely has a really pleasant cooling effect and I really like that it doesn't leave my face feeling sticky, - just hydrated, and without any irritation. It's really effective as a mist that doesn't affect existing makeup, and that for me is one of the best parts. It's pretty good value for money, too, so this is an easy recommendation.5 out of 5. Excellent.

Neat jelly face spray!

I thought this jelly spray would be gimmicky, but I actually like it! The sprayer works well and the jelly formula feels very cooling when sprayed on. I live the way it feels on my skin - not sticky or thick. I didn't experience any irritation from the product, and I have somewhat sensitive skin. It feels moisturizing and soothing on. It's a pretty good value for the size you get, too!
